ADA Accommodation Policy

Requests can be addressed more effectively if received by the City as far in advance of the event or program as possible. The City of Sunrise offers a range of handicapped accessible Leisure Services facilities. Locations and amenities include:

Accessible amenities: two softball fields, two tennis courts and restrooms.
Flamingo Park
12855 NW 8 Street
Accessible amenities: two baseball fields, a soccer field, a tennis court, basketball courts, a jogging track, a meeting room and restrooms.
Oscar Wind Park
200 North New River Circle
Accessible amenities: a baseball field, a soccer field, a picnic pavilion, a jogging track, a playground and restrooms.
Roller Hockey Complex
5201 NW 103 Avenue
Accessible amenities: three regulation roller hockey rinks, a vending area and restrooms.
Sawgrass Sanctuary
237 North New River Circle
Accessible amenities: an observation platform, a fishing pier and fishing bank, a 200-foot boardwalk, a hiking/bicycle trail, two picnic pavilions, a concert area and restrooms.
Shotgun Road Linear Park
Located along Shotgun Road, from SW 14 Street to SW 148 Avenue
Accessible amenities: scenic walking path.
Soccer Club Park

Accessible amenities: three soccer fields, a Clubhouse and restrooms.
Sunrise Athletic Complex (SAC)

Accessible amenities: five baseball fields with seating, lighted tennis courts, a basketball court, two racquetball courts, a meeting room and restrooms.
Sunrise Tennis Club

Accessible amenities: ten Hydrocourt clay courts, four asphalt-based cushioned courts, a Hydrocourt tournament court, sheltered spectator areas and restrooms, as well as a clubhouse with a pro shop, a players' lounge and locker rooms.
Welleby Park

Accessible amenities: ten picnic pavilions, a playground featuring accessible equipment, a walking path and restrooms.
Springtree Golf Club

Accessible amenities: clubhouse with locker rooms, restrooms, a pro shop and a dining area, as well as the course.

Welleby Pool

Village Beach Club

Accessible amenities: pool with handicapped lift, and restrooms.
Civic Center Complex

Accessible amenities: Olympic-size competition pool with handicapped lift, zero-entry family pool, children's raindrop waterfall pool, 300-seat theatre with assisted listening devices, amphitheatre, art gallery, restrooms, The Grand Ballroom banquet facility, and an athletic club with a fitness center, gymnasium and racquetball courts.
Senior Center

Accessible amenities: all rooms, including classrooms, arts & crafts room, multi-purpose/event room, game room and restrooms. Transportation is also provided using buses with handicapped lifts and wheelchair stations.
